tabaraka Allahu or taAAala Allahu

 examine these  verses... 7:54

Inna rabbakumu Allahu allathee khalaqa alssamawati waalarda fee sittati ayyamin thumma istawa AAala alAAarshi yughshee allayla alnnahara yatlubuhu hatheethan waalshshamsa waalqamara waalnnujooma musakhkharatin biamrihi ala lahu alkhalqu waalamru tabaraka Allahu rabbu alAAalameena

the phrase Tabaraka Allahu - is translates as *Most Exalted is God* using Rk translation

Your Lord is the one GOD, who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then assumed all authority. The night overtakes the day, as it pursues it persistently, and the sun, the moon, and the stars are committed to serve by His command. Absolutely, He controls all creation and all commands. Most Exalted is GOD, Lord of the universe.

 in another verse 23:116

FataAAala Allahu almaliku alhaqqu la ilaha illa huwa rabbu alAAarshi alkareemi

The phrase Fa TaAAala Allahu is translated as "Most Exalted is God" using Rk translation

and in 27:63

Amman yahdeekum fee thulumati albarri waalbahri waman yursilu alrriyaha bushran bayna yaday rahmatihi ailahun maAAa Allahi taAAala Allahu AAamma yushrikoona

Who is the One who guides you in the darkness of land and sea? Who is the One who sends the winds with good news, signaling His mercy? Is it another god with GOD? Most exalted is GOD, above having any partner.

The phrase TaAAala Allahu is used as "Most Exalted is God"

 in verse 40:64

Allahu allathee jaAAala lakumu alarda qararan waalssamaa binaan wasawwarakum faahsana suwarakum warazaqakum mina alttayyibati thalikumu Allahu rabbukum fatabaraka Allahu rabbu alAAalameena

GOD is the One who rendered the earth habitable for you, and the sky a formidable structure, and He designed you, and designed you well. He is the One who provides you with good provisions. Such is GOD your Lord; Most Exalted is GOD, Lord of the universe.

the phrase tabaraka allahu is translated as "Most Exalted is God"

in 43:85  is used "Watabaraka" for Most Exalted
Most Exalted is the One who possesses all sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, and everything between them. With Him is the knowledge about the Hour (end of the world), and to Him you will be returned.

in 55:78 - " tabaraka" is used for Most exalted
Most exalted is the name of your Lord, Possessor of Majesty and Honor.

in 67:1 - "tabaraka" is used for Most Exalted
Most exalted is the One in whose hands is all kingship, and He is Omnipotent.

so which is it?

i am inclined to go "Tabaraka Allahu" is "Most Blessed is God" based on my notion that baraka is blessing and tabaraka will be a derivate of baraka.

see the conjoining of arabic letters ba - ra - kaf in http://corpus.quran.com/qurandictionary.jsp?q=brk

it reminds me og older scriptures when it reads Blessed be the name of the Lord e,g Psalm 113:2

it is this interchanging of words that i dont understand,

challenge??

some  issues highlighted for me at work today and i dont know how to reconcile them.
we had a bonus talk to which i was told what my performance contribution is 5.2( something like that - versus what a performing 5.76( something like that) candidate will be.

now i am grateful - God knows that i am - but i was dumbstruck and i didnt think or process the thoughts clearly.

in the first instance Lord i am sorry because what i should have said was my Lord allow  me to be appreciate of the blessings that you have bestowed on me and to  do the righteous works that pleases you. i should have added My Lord possessor of sovereignty who gives to whomever He wills and withholds from whomever He wills. My provider thank you.

that i got something is a blessing from god and i am eternally grateful..

what i think perturbed me is the unspoken or assumed implication by me that i am under-performing.
and i am asking myself - that is something that is hard for me to swallow.
i would have thought at the very least  that i am hitting my targets

but i dont understand it and i dont want to analyse it till i have the facts at hand.

i am resolved Gw to ask for how calculations are - what is 5.2% and how have they arrived at this
likewise what is 5.76 % - what are the measures involved.

it is not about the money - Lord knows - poor as i am i didnt even think about or consider a bonus so i am grateful but it is about my worth i think - in terms of effort i put in at work  beyond what is required.

i would hate to think  that i am giving less than their money's worth to me - as that  is unease for me.

but if i am being taken for granted then that will be unease for me.

it is not a new way of working - it is the same way of working only that it has been re-branded - there is more scope for investigative work as opposed to before where one is on a tight leash -
i dont  buy into re-branding but i am for one  call spade a spade and but efficient working towards a goal -

i am thinking am i being penalized for how i work -  if it i snot satisfactory then tell me and i will try to identify the issue and resolve it - am i being penalized for being fast - i multitask that is how i  work, it is not right for everyone but its right for me - i am not asking to be someone else i am asking to be me.

lord this is not arrogance by any way at all - cos i am upset by it the thought that i am under performing - there is a pride that i take in myself in my work that i do my best and i do my job that i dont slack and i give more than they ask - and i guess that is what is being challenged.

the areas of measurements the challenge is what i have to consider.

praise glorify - wasabih bi hamdi -working document.

50:39
Faisbir AAala ma yaqooloona wasabbih bihamdi rabbika qabla tulooAAi alshshamsi waqabla alghuroobi

RK - Therefore, be patient in the face of their utterances, and praise and glorify your Lord before sunrise, and before sunset.

Wamina allayli fasabbihhu waadbara alssujoodi

RK - During the night you shall meditate on His name, and after prostrating.

so far i  am of the opinion - this is the first mention of glorification/praise to God.. reading in the order of revelation.

i could be wrong -  this is a working document so bear that in mind..i know what i am thinking but i cannot formulate it into logical thoughts yet...

firstly the arabic order  reads - my views - glorify and praise - wasabih bihamdi.. on  my limited knowledge that  sabbih is a derivative of glorify and hamdi is for praise..
why i sthe translation then praise before glorify..

the same hapens in 20:130 for which the first part is the same as 50:39
Faisbir AAala ma yaqooloona wasabbih bihamdi rabbika qabla tulooAAi alshshamsi waqabla ghuroobiha waminanai allayli fasabbih waatrafa alnnahari laAAallaka tarda

RK - Therefore, be patient in the face of their utterances, and praise and glorify your Lord before sunrise and before sunset. And during the night glorify Him, as well as at both ends of the day, that you may be happy.

Awwabun

38:17
Isbir AAala ma yaqooloona waothkur AAabdana dawooda tha alaydi innahu awwabun

RK translation: Be patient in the face of their utterances, and remember our servant David, the resourceful; he was obedient.

38:30 -
Wawahabna lidawuda sulaimana niAAma alAAbdu innahu awwabun

RK translation - To David we granted Solomon; a good and obedient servant.

38:44
Wakhuth biyadika dighthan faidrib bihi wala tahnath inna wajadnahu sabiran niAAma alAAbdu innahu awwabun

RK translationNow, you shall travel the land and preach the message, to fulfill your pledge." We found him steadfast. What a good servant! He was a submitter.

in relation to the above verses. i am particularly interested in the arabic - innahu awwabum - which  is the last phrase on the above verses.

 but the translation is different.

 Or
38:19
Waalttayra mahshooratan kullun lahu awwabun
RK translation - Also the birds were committed to serve him; all were obedient to him.

even interesting is from the arabic - on verses 30+44  niAAma alAAbdu et all is similar to both verses - but it is translated differently.

in the arabic corpus dictionary - the root A, wao, and ba - for awwab .. arck see for yourself
http://corpus.quran.com/qurandictionary.jsp?q=Awb

The triliteral root hamza wāw bā (أ و ب) occurs 17 times in the Quran, in four derived forms:
  • once as the form II verb awwibi (أَوِّبِ)
  • six times as the nominal awwāb (أَوَّاب)
  • Verb (form II) - to repeat

    (34:10:7) awwibīRepeat praises

Thank You

At this very instant i will say to  thee my God - Thank you.
i have just finished watching season of good wife.
the joy in my heart when i was watching them -
i started watching when i was away having the boy
when i was soooo desolate and alone
when my life felt like it was going to end
when i felt like - God what kind of a human being is this -  no emotion, no tenderness
i was sooo down and felt soo alone
the joy i found at watching the programme was my little escape from the hell that i felt i was going through.

 that and  drop dead diva..

you see God i know you are a listening God, i know you are a working God
so just for the joy that i am back here - and the occasional peace of mind that i feel - that i knew when i asked Lord create for me an escape( there is a part in the Quran 65:2 t:hat says God will create an escape for you if you ask him - or something like that - this is my own view/how i want to understand it)

i felt like running away - but it felt like that was the coward way - i was ready to throw in the towel but God kept me strong... i was ready to kill myself.. God showed me some kindness and he kept my mind sane.

for that God - Thank you..

test of time..

i try to be a good daughter, to look out for my mother.
but i fail in that i am quick to  temper and react to her manipulations.
 each time i fail
why is it that God uses her to test me.. this test i am doomed to fail
honor your father and mother.. i remember this but i try to  do this but it is not easy.
God did not tell me that they will test your patience.. they will try to suffocate and stifle you
she can sometimes be  vile and  her actions can sometimes be cruel and i more than any siblings am at the receiving end of this..
i want to be a better daughter but most times i fail
i try to keep distance between us because experience has taught me this is sometimes best
when she is upset she has to look to upset someone close by and i am the rabbit  receiving the shot
lord give me strength - each time i tell myself i will learn to do better but i keep falling back into the same old trap
each time i tell myself i will turn the other cheek but i  don't
God give me patience
the old feelings of  mistrust  and fear keeps flooding back into my head
and i am trying to keep them at bay
for i ask myself what kind of a mother is this..

Lord help me to be different for my children,
to love them in totality to be honest with then, to support then to guide them in truth founded on reality.
not to be duplicitous with them,  help me to be different.

i guess this should be the thought for each person - Lord i want to be better  for my children than my parents were with me..By thy grace i can be better..

I started out looking out for who the people of the canyon are and i remembered a bible passage of some people who were thrown into a furnace and i wanted to see if there was a connection there.. but i stumbled upon a prayer of the three men according to the wiki info that i found..
I have omitted a few words..

IF i see a praise to  God - the Lord of All - Our Creator i shall give praise too.
My Lord, Let thy spirit not depart from me, but keep me in awe of thee, to behold and to acknowledge, to accept and glorify, to praise thy name in truth and with your light..  Be Thou Glorified my lord. in all the heavens and the earth..

My way, your Way, Our Way..

This is a good example of how  we human beings like to confuse  and stir things up.
the best intentions is left for God to decide.. We all think we are doing something worthwhile but in actual fact, It is god who oversees what we do and the final consequences of our actions.
..
i saw this on another site and it gives you a snap shot of different translations of surah 85 Burooj.

who is to say which translation carries more weight than  the other?
who is to say that the author has used the best words to translate
who is to say that the author is correct..

it just goes to remind me of the issue with the bible and its different versions i.e king james, new kind james, gospel edition etc...

in fact truly there is noting new under the sun.. for century of years people have been before us.. and surely they may be some after us until God decides no more...

God help us find a way to YOUR TRUTH...to decipher through century old misconceptions, distortions, additions and subtractions.. to lead us to the pure truth - Your worship - no ambiguity no pretense,  just unadulterated praise of THEE..

i got the translation from: http://arabicnasheedlyrics.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/Mishary%20Al-Afasy

i dont know if everything is word perfect translation - but i think "ya khaliqana subhaanaka" means  our creator be Glorified.. this is the part that resonates with me... for one there is a phrase somewhere in the Quran that i read where the angels greet our Lord.. by saying - subhanaka llahuma - Be thou (you) glorified our Lord...
this for  me is a good way to accord God, our creator...

I want to worship you Lord in all that i do...

I want to bless You Lord in all that I do
Let my life bring glory to You
Fill my heart so Your love can flow
Use me Lord, wherever I go

I want to bless You Lord in all that I do
Let my hands bring glory to You
Reaching out to the one in need
Touch me Lord, so You can use me

I want to bless You Lord in all that I do
Let my words bring glory to You
Guard my thought so that they might be
Filled with love and praises to Thee....

this is a song i remember from my childhood - @salamatu's house... and i fell in love with this song..

today the words resonate with me but i prefer to say - i want to worship you lord.. because i question the statement - i want to bless you lord.
i understand praise God, but i don't understand the phrase = "bless God" -
because God is in no need of anyone - whether we do what he asks or not - He is in no need.. He is the one to bless us with his mercy, guidance, provisions and not the other way round - this is my view and thoughts on the matter..
