3 vs 5 part 2

i have been meaning to sit and write the update to this.. but i cant yet find the words and time..
but if i start when net i appear, I know what i want to say..

Salat..3 Vs 5.. rationalising by Adetutu..

When did it strike me, Just last month at the Quran study.. I found an answer to my own question.. cohesiveness is the key... commonality is hidden therein.. The scripture provides insight, its words are enlightening, Understanding comes from God.

remember the elephant story..
take 5 people and blindfold them, gag their noses, and block their ears. Place an elephant in front of them and ask then individually to tell you what they have.

They will each tell you something different to the other because what they have is a part of the picture, They cant see the whole picture.

If you ask them to confer with each other will they then be able to tell you that its an elephant, for in confering and sharing ideas they begin to see the whole picture...

3 vs 5..

also remember, what is not mentioned directly doesnt mean it does not happen.. look at different scenarios. LOGIC becomes reasoning factor. God willing you will arrive at it..

Message to myself

Question: Adetutu what is you?....
Answer: i am a fighter!!

Question: Adetutu, I say what is you?
Answer: I am fighter!!

Question: I no hear you o.. I dey ask you.. what is you Adetutu!!
Answer: I am a fighter,
I am a Fighter,
I am a fighter,
I will not give up,
I am a fighter,
I will not back down,
I am a fighter,
I will try to always remember that I am a fighter.
I will remember thee my Lord.. I am a fighter
I will hold on to thee my Lord, I am a fighter
Your mercy is forever at Hand and I am a fighter
I cannot give up..I am a fighter

Remember.. God has decreed that Mercy his His attribute.. Let that be a word of consolation for you. Rememeber to Implore God, Hold on, stay on and hold strong. Adetutu, You are a fghter.
Look at where you have come from and look how far you have come. Never in your wildest dreams did you think that you would listen to your hearts calling... never did you imagine that you would try to stay true to your hearts calling.. Remember there are always two ways to look at things..
1, the way you think it is
2, the way it actually is.

What you may think may not be the way it is,, exercise patience, be steadfast and hold on to God.
your weird uncanny sense of rationalising things is a blessing from God, for it gives you an alternative insight in how things may be.. Dont loose Hope... God is forever near, His mercies are endless and His forgiveness is overwhelming and His blessings a sweet release.. Dont loose Hope!!!
Always remember, Adetutu, that YOU ARE A FIGHTER...

HOPE is the last thing that dies with man!!

I am reading this article now and i thought i would share it with you.
what got me to this page.. well, I was googling the word i remember reading from the scripture.." none despairs of his Gods mercy" or someting thereabouts.

this is the site i got it from: http://www.usn2161.net/hope.html

Hope is a "meaning", any meaning we feel with our hearts comes directly from God.

God says that the strayers don't have Hope! why?
Because the next step in Satan's path after Fear is Despair.

For example, a bussinessman loses all his money suddenly in a fire, what is he to do now?
It is just a test from God. There are two paths, two choices are made available for him.

The first is to Accept God's will, and understand that nothing actually belonged to him, it all belonged to God,
and therefore no need to worry or grieve, this is God's inspiration (through the angels).
He should then ask God alone for help and mercy, repent from all his past transgressions, and pledge to God
that he will do his best to stay on the balanced straight path. He should do this in full conviction that God is
indeed Capable of recompensing him with twice as much wealth as he once had, this is what is called Hope,
hope for God's forgivness and mercy.

The second path is Satan's, he will whisper to the guy his evil whipers (through the Jinns), he will tell him that
"IT'S OVER!", he will exaggerate the problem and its complications in his mind, throwing him in the deep darkness of despair!
Satan will lie to him that "There is no way out this time!", that it is Impossible to get his business back on track again!
Satan will tell him that soon he will have to face the shame of poverty, and need, and all his family, friends and
business partners will look down at him now that he has no money!, this ofcourse if accepted by the poor guy would
induce a state of fear in his mind or what some call "Trauma", this fear, worry and eventually despair lead some even to
commit suicide to escape from the nightmare!, and if he didn't kill himself, he would seek illegal ways to get back his business. Either way Satan would have accomplished his goal of turning the man unappreciative of God, and totally preoccupied with the material idols, seeking help from them instead of God!

God repeatedly in His Quran has stressed on the fact that the believers in Him alone, shall never suffer any worry, grief or despair.

The believers acknowledge and readily accept God's will, they steadfastly endure disasters.

[2:155] We will surely test you through some fear, hunger, and loss of money, lives, and crops. Give good news to the steadfast.
[2:156] When an affliction befalls them, they say, "We belong to GOD, and to Him we are returning."
[2:157] These have deserved blessings from their Lord and mercy. These are the guided ones.

The believers know that everything comes from God, however the cause of bad things happening is them accepting Satan's invitaion, that's why they immediately repent, reform and ask God for forgivness.

[4:78] Wherever you are, death will catch up with you, even if you live in formidable castles. When something good happens to them, they say, "This is from GOD," and when something bad afflicts them, they blame you. Say, "Everything comes from GOD." Why do these people misunderstand almost everything?
[4:79] Anything good that happens to you is from GOD, and anything bad that happens to you is from you. We have sent you as a messenger to the people, and GOD suffices as witness.

This is the straight path, Hope comes from God alone, whoever wants it should seek it at Him. Nothing has any power to harm, save or benefit us, only God can. If we remember this in times of disasters, no fear, worry, grief or despair can afflict us God willing.

[15:56] He said, "None despairs of his Lord's mercy, except the strayers."

Never despair

[39:53] Proclaim: "O My servants who exceeded the limits, never despair of GOD's mercy. For GOD forgives all sins. He is the Forgiver, Most Merciful."

[12:87] "O my sons, go fetch Joseph and his brother, and never despair of GOD's grace. None despairs of GOD's grace except the disbelieving people."

God forgives and recompenses

[42:28] He is the One who sends down the rain after they had despaired, and spreads His mercy. He is the only Master, Most Praiseworthy.

Things are impossible only when we depend on a thing or a person for help, and because the creatures themselves are powerless, they cannot help us and therefore trigerred by Satan, we resort to despair and the "impossible" mentality. Even the most "incurable" disease in the world is easy for God to cure!

Nothing is impossible, all power belongs to God alone

[2:165] Yet, some people set up idols to rival GOD, and love them as if they are GOD. Those who believe love GOD the most. If only the transgressors could see themselves when they see the retribution! They will realize then that all power belongs to GOD alone, and that GOD's retribution is awesome.

[22:15] If anyone thinks that GOD cannot support him in this life and in the Hereafter, let him turn completely to (his Creator in) heaven, and sever (his dependence on anyone else). He will then see that this plan eliminates anything that bothers him.

The only way to get rid of worry, fear and despair is GOD ALONE
Let Him be your First Priority, and forget about worry, fear and despair forever!

All it takes is to constantly proclaim that you disbelieve in any inherent power in things or people to harm or benefit you, and that you believe in God alone.

[41:30] Those who proclaim: "Our Lord is GOD," then lead a righteous life, the angels descend upon them: "You shall have no fear, nor shall you grieve. Rejoice in the good news that Paradise has been reserved for you.

Whatever your problem is, however big it seems to be, you should put your trust in God, only Him can help you
To Him belongs all the power in the heavens and the earth, no matter how "impossible to be solved" it may seem, God can solve it, only if you steadfastly persevere and keep holding to the rope of God like Job did.

[38:41] Remember our servant Job: he called upon his Lord, "The devil has afflicted me with hardship and pain."
[38:42] "Strike the ground with your foot. A spring will give you healing and a drink."
[38:43] We restored his family for him; twice as many. Such is our mercy;
a reminder for those who possess intelligence.

Interesting dont you think.....Hope.. the last thing that dies with man... This my mum says a lot...

life feels sooo bleak

I am tired of life.
Tired of working
tired of longing
tired of hoping
I am just plain tired.....

i have no energy left
i feel desolate and alone
i have no fighting spirit left..

in everything i askmyself
what is the situation and how do i feel about it
the situation is thus.. i am alone
and i feel alone...

i seek to thee yet again O lord, as always, as ever..
strenght from Thee which keeps my head up high
words from Thee which enrich and inspire my heart

patience is not a virtue i possess
but patience is one that i seek
still trusting, hoping that maybe just maybe,
Godwilling everything becomes settled for me ...

Thanks with afterthought..

With hindsight and forethought,
one has to be grateful.
For in reality, when i look back
I have due cause to be thankful
Looking at all trials, tests and tribulations
At all joys, successes and happiness
I have more than due cause to be thankful.
so all in all, My dear lord, I give thee all thanks and Praise.

On 05/06/09 i broke down yet again
Fear was lurking in the face of my reality
my Ego was growing in the face of uncertainty
My spirit was flagging amidst all around me..

But in times of fear, or in times of hunger
When my heart longs and when my soul yearns
I still try to hold on to thee my dear lord.

I am grateful for my dear friends...for their kind words of motivation
I am grateful for my dear sister, for keeping reaching out to me
I am grateful Lord for You.. For without you.. I wouldnt have known these dear people
Without you i wouldnt have come this far..
Without You, i wouldnt have survived

Duro Timi Oluwa.. Stay with me O lord

Duro timi Oluwa
Duro timi Oluwa
Omo kekere le mi Ti re La lagbara
Durotimi Oluwa..

Lord God take me by the hand
Lord, God show me where to go
O Lord, Let me not alone - lest i go astray

Be Thou my guardian and my guide and hear me when i call
let not my slippery footstep slide and hold me lest i fall
The world the flesh and satan dwell around the path i tread
Do thou O lord, keep watch within and save my soul from wrong
Still let me ever watch and pray and feel that i am frail
That is the trempter cross my way yet he may not prevail

Lord, thy Word abideth,and our footsteps guideth;
who its truth believeth light and joy receiveth.

When our foes are near us,then thy Word doth cheer us,
Word of consolation,message of salvation.

When the storms are o'er us,and dark clouds before us,
then its light directeth, and our way protecteth.

From me to Thee O Lord, This morning 06/06/09

Shine a light along my way that will lead me to your path
Shine a light for Me O Lord, lead me in Your path
Keep a firm hand on my heart and train it in Your ways
Keep a firm hold on my heart, guide it in Your path

For all Praise, Authority and Kingship is Yours -My Lord
In this life and in the hereafter
Be you Glorified Most Gracious Lord..

05/06/09

i broke down again on this day.. and as yet it still puzzles me...
why did i break down... i guess i had it coming.. the constant rejection letters, the uncertainty with work, the work load, the stagnation and dying emotion at work, the death inducing lack of motivation... everything just culminated in one night...
started on the Thursday night with my weekly rituals and just edged into the day..
i woke up groggy, not with the usual cheer and candour i usually reserve for Friday..
Friday being a day of assembly for me a day of congregation for praise and thanks to the almighty. i did not wear anything nice, just put on some wacky jeans and Hood top.. quite unusual for me on a Friday..
work was just a never endless charade of nodding that i understand even though i was thinking "i don't know jack-shit whist you guys are on about"..

you see for so long holding a facade down, it eventually tells on you..
i am tired, weak and emotionally spent...
i went for my Friday contact and it was during thins that it just hit me... i am tired.. Lord i am tired..
the stupid thing that i am trying to figure out is that if things went my way and i was indulged in every desire and whim and fantasy.. would i be this tired too? in all honesty i guess not..
but as i am now which i have ti admit is the best position for me.. i AM tired.. i have had enough of this life.. its heartaches,, its disappointments, its sufferings and longings.. for a fragile heart like mine and one quite vulnerable its too much for me to bear..
but all in all i cannae complain.. this is my lot in life to deal with and as best as i can i have to deal with it..
people usually take the easy way out and end their life.. but i am too chicken and I AM A FIGHTER..gw i will not let this get me down but i will strive to hold on to thee O lord and still hang in there..
hopefully by your grace you i Will attract your mercy and i will find ease for My heart..
patience is what i guess you are trying o teach me but the human being is impatient..
this is ever more so true for me adetutu..
i am impatient i want it now. this instant.. as i visualise it.. but i guess life aint like that..
my wantings pay no heed to tomorrows obstacles.. it does not consider foreseeable future nor plan that far ahead it only wants now..
God willing God willing..i keep telling myself..
But i am tired...
the only things that edges me on is that my works have nothing to show for itself other than my heart and as simple as that may be.. i have always run from it.. but i choose to run no more and i choose to confront.. God willing God willing i shall win this battle of mine..
This internal battle. God willing.. By my Lords leave, By the grace and authority of God my Lord, My God, My Creator....

Tomorrow 01/06/09 holds me with fear... the term is "shitting bricks"..

Tomorrow starts a day that I am unsure of.

Tomorrow starts a day, I am filled with fear and tremour

For I know not what it holds, I know not where it leads

I know not my way and my heart secretly bleeds

Tomorrow I start a job that I am unsure of

From tomorrow I find out if its my call

For in what I dread and in what I know not

I call on thee Lord- Please abide with Me

Times are hard for everyone I know

Each day grows dim - progress seems slow

But in my uncertainty and wavering mind

I'll try to remember you, Lord in my life

In all honesty, my heart is calm, For i have been praying - a change has to come

I have gone to thee Lord and you have heard my call

The path made easy, no struggle no strife..

Uncertainty is why I am scared, not knowing how it will end

As long as i hold onto Thee Lord, my problems are resolved

For with Your Grace, You will provide and support me

For this i offer thanks, Multitude of thanks in advance

Whatever the circumstance, Allow me to Praise thee still.

i'll WALK with GOD

i just woke up today and this song was being sung on Song of praises by that guy that used to be part of G4 -in one of those x-factors programmes,
anyhow the way he sung it was rather awful if i am honest.. but I was captivated by the words...

I'll walk with God from this day on
His helping hand I'll lean upon
This is my prayer my humble plea
May the Lord be ever with me
There is no death though eyes grow dim
There is no fear when I'm near to Him
I'll lean on Him forever
And He'll forsake me never
He will not fail me
As long as my faith is strong
What ever road I may walk along
I'll walk with God I'll take His hand
I'll talk with god He'll understand
I'll pray to Him each day to Him
And He'll hear the words that I say
His hand will guide my throne and rod
And I'll never walk alone
While I walk with God.
A very simple poignant plea, a simple and understated song -I'walk with God and He'll set me free..
through the words i am at lenght to remember this other favourite hymn..( i only include the part that strikes a cord within me)
O Lord my God, When I in awesome wonder,
Consider all the worlds Thy Hands have made;
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed.

Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee - How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee -How great Thou art, How great Thou art!

Chief Brides maid

Ages ago.. early 2008 my sister dropped a bomb shell by asking me to be her brides maid.. after deliberating this was the reply i penned to her..

hope all is fine and ok,
now i do not know how to start this, seeing that i as usual have no ounce of tact nor emotional intelligence whatsoever, so forgive me if i just rush this out.
i will review at the end.

i have to be honest when you called and asked me to be your BM dad had already mentioned something like that to me. What i told him basically was that i dislike people telling me other peoples news and i am not comfy with knowing stuff about other people especially if they did not tell me themselves.

Now I have to say that after much thought and deliberation, i still do not know why you would even consider me as a BM. Yes i know we are sisters but in reality we do not speak all that much, not have contact all that much. at most i will say probably about 2 times a year.
while i understand that maybe your style of communication, because if i am honest i am like that as well,
but i am just finding it hard accepting this kind gesture of yours.

i guess I have to apologise now because like i said no ounce of EI at all.
see me, am a soppy person and being soppy comes with having a romanticised notion of how things should be. How far this is from reality ------- go figure?

My notion of choosing a BM is having your fgirly riends that you know and feel comfy with.
Suprisingly you are about the only family member that i feel comfy around because i can be myself around you ( usually stupidly delirious )

but because we hardly speak or contact each other I do not know if you have made the right choice here.
The choice of contact is usually from my own side, because i always make an effort to keep in touch with family - being you. Hardly do i get a call or even an email from you, unless probably we are both online at the same time.
See you are my sister and fortunately that does not change and wont change, the fact that i feel in a way responsible you because i love you you as well, that can never change, also I do want the best for you and want you to be happy, that will always remain and be the same.
Can i ask then that should you want me included in your day, do please give me something of a lesser prominence, without the responsibility of a BM, that i feel should be the role of your best friend.

Reminiscing

I am reminiscing of a reply to a mail i sent to someone who was finding it difficult and wanted to unload some stress and just dump on mail..
i found it this evening.. and my thinking this early morning.. 2:46 is that God really has been good to me.. in all things i have no complaints.. but rather if i am truthful.. i have thank and undying in debt thanks for the Most gracious..

sometimes i can be so sanctimonious.. but i am far from that.. I am struggling in my own way too. i will not let other see these ways.. but God knows and i know that i am struggling..

Hello sandee and how are you,
I dont know how to start this writing this if I am honest, but i have been meaning to get in tough with you. I first got your mail as was sent to me on a list but i was going to get in touch with you but for one reason or not i did not.
anyhoo,
i dont know how to respond to your mail because i dont know what you are going through.
all I know is that each one has his/her own struggles with life and things and it is something that is between you and God .
God in all His Greatness knows our heart and knows what is best and what is good for us all. all I can say is to persevere and still try however much you can to observe God to the best of your ability. Your redemption is a thing that is btw you and God, so I can only say to still persevere and try to the best that you can and with whatever limitations that you have to observe God. God knows our intentions anyway and I am quite sure sees all your efforts. God willing all those efforts will meet you with a generous recompense at His side.
while it is not my remit to judge you how u live your live or how you cope with what life has thrown at you, it is also not in my remit to to say if you are or if you are not redeemed.
We all are struggling in each and every way of ours,

Prayer fasting etc are ways of affirming our faith and drawing us nearer to God ( as I understand it) but like I mentioned, God knows your intention and sees your limitations so do whatever you can.
Hajj is not mandatory either and can be done should you have the funds and means to do it. Like I said god knows our intentions and sees our limitations. God willing He will shower on you His mercies

A couple of things I do not understand about what you wrote so I seek to understand your views on it. Regarding the Hijab, I do not think it is a requirement for worshiping God. But should it rock your boat then I guess, if you want to wear it and are happy wearing it then nothing wrong with it. But it is not a mandatory requirement though.

The Quran as I understand it is a source of wisdom and guidance from God to draw us closer to God and by doing so redeem ourselves. And through worshiping god you surrender to His will. As long as it is Gods will you surrender to.
Now I do not think it is a requirement to learn Arabic (to the best of my knowledge) because the Quran can be found translated in several languages.
But should it help I can try to get you on CD English translation and Arabic reading of Quran, so you at least know what the verses are reading and saying.

I doubt that I live close to you, as I reside in Scotland , but should you provide me with your address I will make an effort to visit you from time to time, should you need some company.

As shy as I am and please do not take offence at all I ask what help I can give.
What ever my God will allow me to help then I will try my best to help.

Now please dont take offence at whatever I have written, I just say things as I think them and i never know how to compose writing to people. Please forgive my ignorance and lack of understanding of some of your issues.

So darling friend, tell me how i can help and in my own little way i will. God willing all your troubles will ease and God willing you find peace

in hindsight i am not even sure i sent it.. because i never got a reply at all... lol!!

OJU KOKORO

It is an affliction of the mind.

A disease of the Heart

An impaired mental condition that aflicts many

It makes you desire what you may not want or need

It makes you crave a need for what you dont desire

It is the glass shard in our eyes that lights the flames of lust

At some point in ones life I guess we should ask ourselves the one of the most important questions
" Do I actually want that or Do I want that because he/she has got it?"

Question: What is it that makes so irresistable the gains/successes of others that we feel a need to want the same as well?

Fingers are not equal and we - each and everyone of us - all have our destinies and our lives to lead

How do I know wether the success/progress meant for one will equal the same for me. What if i am not well equipped to deal with it and as such it brings me misery/pain?

This life is funny o.

I fear no foe with Thee at hand to bless

Ills have no weight and tears no bitterness

Where is deaths sting, Where grave m Thy victory

I triumph still if Thou abide with me

For in many many things I am already blessed and God has granted me many many things. So oju kokoro because of ojukokoro has no place in my heart or in my life.

The Lord provides and that which The Good Lord provides is th ebest of all provisions. That should be enugh for me, that is how simple i want it to be
I need Thy presence every passing hour

What but Thy grace can foil the tempter's power?

Who like Thyself my guide and stay can be?

Through cloud and sunshine, O abide with me!

Faux pas

I realise i made a faux pas on the Bank holiday monday..
I am not going to reveal what it is that i done or was party to but this is a reminder to remind me that

Guidance can not be got from another person other than God and you cannot blame indescretion on another person.. even if they invite you to it, the crux is.. did you accept or did you not accept...

There is acceptable conduct and there is non-acceptable conduct and anything that goes beyond my threshold level is non acceptable conduct as such I should try not be party to it..

Be Thou Exalted o Lord above all the heaven

This is the part of a song heard in my friends house last saturday on the coming out day of her lovely baby.
On googling it i guess it is an excerpt from psalm 108:5 and it follows

Be Thou Exalted O lord above all the Heavens And Thy Glory above all the earth..

the song was beautiful and i like it...

Without gushing like a bamshee which i usually do alongside with all my ramblings.. cant we still see??

the God we all want to worship is one God...

I would/could not join them for prayer i must add because part of it contravened the essense of what i believe in.. i.e worship God alone..
but it was amusing and enlightening to notice how wholly and majorly their prayer was about God alone and they had to go and what i call the spoils the prayer for me. ( by towards the end praying through jesus which is tantamount to when some "muslims" pray and add mohammeds name when praying to God)
But it was interesting nevertheless anyways..

God guide us all, enlighten us all and Direct us all in His truth. May he open all our eyes and hearts to see His light and to feel His truith. May He forgive us all and grant us rightousness

Life is a working progress, Understanding is in gradual stages and Appreciation is always ongoing

I first had this sent to me and at first I had a hard time reading it.. But later on at work about a month ago I did and it got me thinking.

In the Name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
The Quran
[26:192] This is a revelation from the Lord of the universe.
[26:193] The Honest Spirit (Gabriel) came down with it.
[26:194] To reveal it into your heart, that you may be one of the warners.
[26:195] In a perfect Arabic tongue.
[12:2] We have revealed it an Arabic Quran, that you may understand.*
[20:113] We thus revealed it, an Arabic Quran, and we cited in it all kinds of prophecies, that they may be saved, or it may cause them to take heed.
It is God's very own Arabic narration of the Quran that is described by Him as perfect (18:1-2), accurate (11:1), fully detailed, and infallible (10:37), with no ambiguity (39:28), contradictions (4:82), or flaws (18:1).
In other words, these divine characteristics of the Quran are exclusive to the ARABIC text that He revealed; the book that was written by the hands of prophet Muhammad(25:5).

It's a non-negotiable fact that the Arabic language is the most efficient and sophisticated language when it comes to expressing detailed specifications. The Most Gracious has promised us salvation through His divine book (6:51, 20:113). The clarity and the specific detailing of His laws, systems, examples, and commands that are needed for that salvation, would have never been achieved through any other language. Perhaps God even created that efficient and sophisticated Arabic language only to fit this heavy, numerically structured message and His perfect, detailed laws.
In any way, it was God's infinite mercy and grace, to have this book of guidance detailed and revealed in Arabic in order to establish the truth and clarify His laws and systems in the most accurate, specific, efficient, and comprehensive written and readable format:
[10:82] GOD establishes the truth with His words, despite the criminals.
[6:115] The word of your Lord is complete, * in truth and justice. Nothing shall abrogate His words. He is the Hearer, the Omniscient.
[13:37] We revealed these laws in Arabic, and if you ever acquiesce to their wishes, after this knowledge has come to you, you will have no ally, nor a protector, against GOD.
[41:3] A scripture whose verses provide the complete details, in an Arabic Quran, for people who know.

One of the laws decreed for us by God is the punishment of fornication or unlawful intimate relations (sexual relations out of marriage committed by married or unmarried individuals- or "zena" as expressed in the Arabic language of the Quran). We know full well that God almighty detailed the punishment of such act in chapter 24. The punishment of fornication for BOTH men and women is hundred lashes after providing four witnesses. The four witnesses must be produced whether it is a man or a woman who committed the sin of fornication. Those who accuse chaste women (righteous women who strive to maintain their chastity whether they are married or not) without providing four witnesses are subject to a punishment of eighty lashes for such evil accusation. Those who accuse their own wives without having witnesses must swear four times, and if the accused wife testified differently, by swearing four times, her testimony shall supersede and her judgment rests with God if she was lying.
These are all clear and detailed specifications in regard of fornication and adultery (unlawful sex conducted specifically by married people):
[24:2] The adulteress and the adulterer ( In Arabic text: the male and the female who commit fornication - zena) you shall whip each of them a hundred lashes. Do not beswayed by pity from carrying out GOD's law, if you truly believe in GOD and the Last Day. And let a group of believers witness their penalty.*
[24:3] The adulterer (In Arabic text: the man who commits fornication, " zani") will end up marrying an adulteress (In Arabic text: the woman who commits fornication, "zaneiah") or an idol worshiper, and the adulteress (In Arabic text: the woman who commits fornication, "zaneiah") will end up marrying an adulterer (In the Arabic text: the man who commits fornication, "zani") or an idol worshiper. This is prohibited for the believers.
[24:4] Those who accuse "married"(In the Arabic text: chaste not "married") women of adultery, then fail to produce four witnesses, you shall whip them eighty lashes, and do not accept any testimony from them; they are wicked.
[24:5] If they repent afterwards and reform, then GOD is Forgiver, Merciful.

[24:6] As for those who accuse their own spouses, without any other witnesses, thenthe testimony may be accepted if he swears by GOD four times that he is telling the truth.
[24:7] The fifth oath shall be to incur GOD's condemnation upon him, if he was lying.
[24:8] She shall be considered innocent if she swears by GOD four times that he is a liar.
[24:9] The fifth oath shall incur GOD’s wrath upon her if he was telling the truth.
[24:10] This is GOD's grace and mercy towards you. GOD is Redeemer, Most Wise.
[24:11] A gang among you produced a big lie.* Do not think that it was bad for you; instead, it was good for you. Meanwhile, each one of them has earned his share of the guilt. As for the one who initiated the whole incident, he has incurred a terrible retribution.
[24:12] When you heard it, the believing men and the believing women should have had better thoughts about themselves, and should have said, "This is obviously a big lie."
[24:13] Only if they produced four witnesses (you may believe them). If they fail to produce the witnesses, then they are, according to GOD, liars.
[24:14] If it were not for GOD's grace towards you, and His mercy in this world and in theHereafter, you would have suffered a great retribution because of this incident.
[24:15] You fabricated it with your own tongues, and the rest of you repeated it with your mouths without proof. You thought it was simple, when it was, according to GOD, gross.
[24:16] When you heard it, you should have said, "We will not repeat this. Glory be to You. This is a gross falsehood."
[24:17] GOD admonishes you that you shall never do it again, if you are believers.
[24:18] GOD thus explains the revelations for you. GOD is Omniscient, Wise.

In chapter 4, verses 15 and 16, God is establishing a totally different punishment that is mistaken with the punishment of fornication. In 4:15, there is a punishment specified for women to stay for life in their homes until they die or until God finds an exit for them.

What is this punishment for?
In 4:16, God is specifying that the couple who commit that same, exact sin mentioned in verse 15 shall be punished. Again, what this punishment for? The Arabic text and grammar in both verses is very specific, articulate, and clear. The Arabic word used for that sin is " Al-fahishah”, well defined by the most effective defining grammatical tools, " the alif and the lam", which are equivalent to the word "the” in English. When attached to that sin, these two letters make the act very well known and defined just as the acts of "Al-salat" and Al-zakat" - the Contact Prayers and the Charity- are well defined all over the Quran. This tool is used for both acts because both practices - salat and zakat- were already well known and in existence when Quran was revealed.

Here is what 4:15- and 16 are stating:
Health Quarantine
[4:15] Those who commit "adultery" - adultery is not used in the original Arabic text. The word used is Al-fahishah - among your women, you must have four witnesses against them, from among you. If they do bear witness, then you shall keep such women in their homes until they die, or until GOD creates an exit for them.* [4:16] The couple who commits "adultery" - adultery is not used in the original Arabic text. A clear Arabic tool is used to refer to Al-fahishah that is mentioned in 4:15 - shall bepunished.* If they repent and reform, you shall leave them alone. GOD is Redeemer, Most Merciful. *4:15 A woman witnessed by four people in the act of committing adultery on four different occasions, with four different partners, represents a danger to public health. Such a woman is a depository of germs, and a health quarantine protects the society from her. A good example of an exit that saves a quarantined woman is marriage - someone may wish to marry her, and thus protect her and the society.
The explanation provided by God’s messenger of the covenant in the above footnote regarding a woman committing the act of adultery in four different occasions with four different men doesn’t exist in the Arabic text or even hinted to.
There are absolutely no contradictions in the Quran. Any contradictions we sense must be the result of our very own shortcomings and lake of knowledge. The following two questions are often asked by those who are striving to understand the Quran and using their brains as commanded by God. They are also often asked by those who challenge the perfection and accuracy of the Quran.

The two questions are:
1- What is the punishment for fornication or adultery- Is it the hundred lashes as specified in chapter 24 or is it staying home until death as specified in 4:15-16?
2- Are men in 4:16 receiving different punishment from women in 4:15? - why?

The answers and the facts:
1- If the punishment of fornication and adultery is already established, clearly, for both men and women in chapter 24, the above different punishment in 4:15-16 MUST BE for a totally DIFFERENT sin. This sin is worded by the Most Gracious in a perfect Arabic tongue as " Al-fahishah" and not as fornication or adultery as translated.
2- The word used by God in 4:15-16,"Al-fahishah", is well defined by strong defining grammatical tools which means it is a well know act.
3- Besides being well defined, the word implies a very indecent action.
4- When committed by women (4:15), Al-fahishah must be dealt with by a punishment that is totally different from the established punishment of fornication and adultery. This different punishment is staying home until death or until God finds an exit which could possibly be repenting and reforming.
5- Then, in 4:16, and based on the perfect, infallible Arabic grammatical construction of both verses, and after specifying women in verse 15, God is adding that we shall also punish the TWO MALES who commit the same exact sin referred to in 4:15 (Al-fahishah). Because the punishment for both males and females is always the same in the Quran (both man and woman who commit fornication shall receive the 100 lashes, both male and female thieves are equally punished, 5:38), one must conclude that the punishment for " Al- fahishah" is the same for both men and women. So, the two males who commit Al- fahishah must stay home until death or until they repent and reform.
6- Based on the divine choice of the Arabic words by God, He has taught us that He used the well defined fahishah, "Al-fahishah” three times in the Quran for the sin of homosexuality in the following verses:
Lot: Homosexuality Condemned
[7:80] Lot said to his people, "You commit such an abomination ( Al-fahishah in the Arabic text) ; no one in the world has done it before!
Lot[27:54] Lot said to his people, "How could you commit such an abomination (Al-fahishah in the Arabic text), publicly, while you see?
Lot[29:28] Lot said to his people, "You commit such an abomination (Al-fahishah in the Arabic text), no one in the world has ever done it before you. The following is the forth time that this well defined fahishah (Al-fahishah) is used by God.
[24:19] Those who love to see immorality (Al-fahishah in the Arabic text) spread among the believers have incurred a painful retribution in this life and in the Hereafter. GOD knows, while you do not know.
7- The fact that some believe that the word "Al-fahishah" in 4:15 is referring to prostitution or having multiple unlawful sex with different men is actually baseless. There is another specific, well defined word that is used by God in the Quran for this specific act of prostitution. This word is "Al-bighaa", which is stated in 24:33. If prostitution is the sin meant to be mentioned in 4:15-16, God would have used the right word for it just as He used it in 24:33.
[24:33] Those who cannot afford to get married shall maintain morality until GOD provides for them from His grace. Those among your servants who wish to be freed in order to marry, you shall grant them their wish, once you realize that they are honest. And give them from GOD’s money that He has bestowed upon you. You shall not force your girls to commit prostitution, seeking the materials of this world, if they wish to be chaste. If anyone forces them, then GOD, seeing that they are forced, is Forgiver, Merciful.
8- Mathematical confirmation: It is not a coincidence that the one verse that God is specifically condemning the PUBLIC practice of homosexuality is mathematically correlated with the verse that God is using to establish the punishment of " Al-fahishah" to be the segregation (staying away from public) after producing four witnesses - staying home until death or until God finds an exit (repent and reform).
[4:15] Those who commit "adultery" - adultery is not used in the original Arabic text. The word used is Al-fahishah - among your women, you must have four witnesses against them, from among you. If they do bear witness, then you shall keep such women in their homes until they die, or until GOD creates an exit for them.* Lot [27:54] Lot said to his people, "How could you commit such an abomination (Al-fahishah in the Arabic text), publicly, while you see?

4:15, 27:54 04152754 = 19x 218566

9- My conclusion: The punishment that is established in 4:15-16 is a punishment for a sin that has nothing to do with adultery or fornication. The punishment for adultery and/or fornication for both men and women is already clearly established in chapter 24. Al-fahishah is not the practice of prostitution. There is a perfect word used by God for prostitution in the Quran in 24:33. Al-fahishah, well defined by the alif and the lam is used by God to refer to homosexuality in three different verses. The perfect Arabic construction and grammar in 4:15-16 leaves no doubt that the abomination talked about is committed by women together and men together and that both must be equally punished by segregation - staying home until death or until God finds an exit for them (repent and reform)
The messenger's translation is by all means the best and the most guided available translation. However, it cannot and will not by any mean equate the divine Arabic word of God. The messenger was a human being like all of us who was constantly and gradually evolving around the Quran. He NEVER claimed that his translation is perfect, and he NEVER listed translating the Quran among his duties as a messenger of God. The message of worshiping God alone and following Quran alone was perfectly delivered by him. The duties listed at the last page of appendix 2 were honestly fulfilled by him.. Any flaws we find in his translation only prove to us day after day that he was only a human like all of us, and teach us that the Quran, in its Arabic tongue, is what establishes the divine truth. It's the Arabic Quran that contains the awesome, built-in mathematical proof. It’s the Arabic words that are authenticated by that mathematical proof. It's the Arabic text that is considered as the verifiable word of God. It's also the grammatical structure of that perfect Arabic text that makes us find out and learn new aspects, and perspectives of this amazing Quran everyday. It's the Arabic word of God that will last until the end of the world as the ONLY ultimate reference and the absolute, infallible truth. It is my responsibility as a believer and as a native Arabic speaker to declare to all of you the above conclusion of my research, following God's command in 2:159-160, and out of fear of what is stated in the Quran about the sin of concealing the truth. Having expressed all of the above, I'm fully aware that the abuse of any kind of knowledge or blessing is a form of transgression, and I believe that, my fear for God has been always a guard for me against such transgression or against any kind of abuse of my knowledge and fluency of the Arabic grammar and language.. I have done my research and have reached my conclusions. It is your turn to do your own homework, and verify with others what I have shared with you.

Gross Offense
[2:159] Those who conceal our revelations and guidance, after proclaiming them for the people in the scripture, are condemned by GOD; they are condemned by all the condemners. [2:160] As for those who repent, reform, and proclaim, I redeem them. I am the Redeemer, Most Merciful.

Conceal the Quran's Miracle*

[2:174] Those who conceal GOD’s revelations in the scripture, in exchange for a cheap material gain, eat but fire into their bellies. GOD will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them. They have incurred a painful retribution. [2:140].... Who is more evil than one who conceals a testimony he has learned from GOD? GOD is never unaware of anything you do."
Peace and may God bless,

Upon reading and trying to digest the article – bar the 19* miracle part of it… I was motivated to find out and to see what the lady (was a lady’s article) was talking about.
As such here is my findings or rather much comment on the article..

After reading the verse and on further looking at the references re: the word fahisha… I am thinking maybe there is more to this than just the word and the translation of the word/act involved..While on some instinct level (usually mine) the word fahisha denoted to me a sort of sexual conduct or misconduct as the word pertains… but I feel in vs 4:15 and vs 4:16 is is talking about two different sets of sexual conduct..
Reason for this is that vs 4:15 uses the word "yatina- al- fahishat"… this for me denotes a particular type of act of "fahishat".. i.e a type of sexual conduct/misconduct.. it could maybe be a sexual conduct between women alone .. As via definition is says this act is between women.. i.e I can take that to mean a sexual conduct practiced by women onlyVs 4:19 uses "yatina bi fahishat mubayinat" i.e proven yatina bi fahishat
Bismillahi...O you who believe, it is not lawful for you to inherit what the women leave behind, against their will. You shall not force them to give up anything you had given them, unless they commit a "proven adultery". You shall treat them nicely. If you dislike them, you may dislike something wherein GOD has placed a lot of good.

it refers to women so I feel it is a sexual conduct of women that is not approved by God..

Vs 65:1 also uses this same term "yatina bi fahishat mubayinat"…
O you prophet, when you people divorce the women, you shall ensure that a divorce interim is fulfilled. You shall measure such an interim precisely. You shall reverence GOD your Lord. Do not evict them from their homes, nor shall you make life miserable for them, to force them to leave on their own, unless they commit a "proven adultery". These are GOD's laws. Anyone who transgresses GOD's laws commits an injustice against himself. You never know; maybe GOD wills something good to come out of this.

I DON’T THINK IT IS ADULTERY (WHEN WE USE THE ENGLISH TERM ADULTERY.. CHEATING ON A PARTNER) BECAUSE ADULTERY HAS ALREADY BEEN COVERED VIA THE WORD ZINA.. IN SURAH 24 AS the Author of the article RIGHTFULLY NOTED… BUT ON A LOOSE LEVEL… IT IS ALSO ADULTERY BECAUSE THE SEXUAL ACT IS NOT WITH ONES PARTNER BUT WITH SOMEONE/SOMETHING ELSE.. SO TRANSLATING IT AS ADULTERY IS ALSO RIGHT BUT NOT QUITE “DETAILED RIGHT”
Vs 4:16 does not include the word "fahisha".. but uses the term “yatiyaniha minkun”This I don’t know what is refers to but on an instinct level… it could be an act by couples.. Since the term couples is used in the translation

The deciding word there is then to define "yatina" for same sex women.. or "yatiyaniha" for couples… any help with this guys...

Vs 60:12.. also uses a form of yatina when it says "yatina bi bhutani"…
Bismillahi...O you prophet, when the believing women (who abandoned the disbelievers) to seek asylum with you pledge to you that they will not set up any idols besides GOD, nor steal, nor "commit adultery", nor kill their children, nor fabricate any falsehood, nor disobey your righteous orders, you shall accept their pledge, and pray to GOD to forgive them. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.

So on closer level.. it is a form of adultery/but to be more specific it could be a form of conduct between women as it refers to women…

To put a twist in things.. Based on the English translation..Vs 4:24 is translated as adultery.. While this is right ( I have coverd how this seems to me) but to be more detailed..
bismillahi...Also prohibited are the women who are already married, unless they flee their disbelieving husbands who are at war with you. These are GOD's commandments to you. All other categories are permitted for you in marriage, so long as you pay them their due dowries. You shall maintain your "morality, by not committing adultery". Thus, whoever you like among them, you shall pay them the dowry decreed for them. You commit no error by mutually agreeing to any adjustments to the dowry. GOD is Omniscient, Most Wise.
we need to examine the word used for it which is “fa- a- tu huna Ujurahuna fariidhat.”. someone help with this please…I think this refers to either sex; as such it is an act that can be carried out by everyone…
Vs 4:25 uses the term "atayna bi fahishat" and the English has been translated as adultery..This is right also (I have covered this), but to be more detailed we need to examine the word uses.. atayna fahishat.. it is a type of fahishat/sexual conduct.. help with this please..

I am thinking crux here is the translation of such acts as adultery, which I think I may have established as being right.. But it is not quite detailed in English as which particular type of adultery it is..
Vs 5:5 has also been described as adultery but the word fahishat is not used..
bismillahi ....Today, all good food is made lawful for you. The food of the people of the scripture is lawful for you. Also, you may marry the chaste women among the believers, as well as the chaste women among the followers of previous scripture, provided you pay them their due dowries. You shall maintain chastity, not "committing adultery", nor taking secret lovers. Anyone who rejects faith, all his work will be in vain, and in the Hereafter he will be with the losers.
The Arabic used for this is” muhsinina ghayra”.. so help with this as well please…

Now to put all things in perspective..Vs 17:32 uses a a word to describe adultery..the arabic used is zina..This I feel may refer to the English understanding of adultery.. i.e cheating of married partners…bismillahi... You shall not commit adultery; it is a gross sin, and an evil behavior. So guys this is my own take on the matter.

Whilst i agree with the author of the article that the vs 4:15 refers to same sex coupling in the particular verse referring to women.. i am also looking for us to examine the other uses of the word relating to sexual acts...

(using RK translation)

With afterthought and un reading the quran again, I am trying to make sense of the Arabic words as it relates to the english translation..

I must stress that I HAVE ALWAYS HAD THE OPINION (same as the author of the article) THAT THE ONLY CORRECT UNDERSTANDING OF THE QURAN IS VIA THE ARABIC SCRIPT but as I am not a native Arabic speaker but what I try to do is that I follow the translations via the words used in Arabic.

I.e. “Qul”: is used in various verses and via translation it means “Proclaim” or “Say” so anywhere I see “Qul” I know it is an instruction asking the reader to “Say”
It is with this approach, “using the Quran language to understand the Quran with Guidance from God and inspiration as well to enlighten my own limited capabilities” that I use as such sometimes I find some errors in translations which I willput as “ overtly right but not quite detailed right”

For example Verse 1 of Surah 110 An- Nasr
Idha ja ha Nasru llahi wa-al Fat-hu” this is wholly translated as “When triumph comes from God and Victory” (RK)or “When comes the Help of God and Victory” (YA)
On closer look I can see that I feel there is a slight faux pas in the translation because, firstly the word “Nasr” is the word used for Victory.. However via reading, Nasr is in the middle sentence not the end..

As such it should maybe read, “When Gods victory and triumph comes” or “When Gods Victory and Help comes” (which co-incidentally is how it is translated via progressive Muslims i.e. victory before)
For it I understand it as that because before triumph – jubilation, smugness of overcoming adversity -one has to first be the victor/winner in the situation..
So Victory comes before triumph”
Simple things like that…
I guess at first I didn’t notice it, but after reading the Quran again as an ongoing process, these things start to jump out at me..

The more recent one is on surah 3…which is interesting because I have already given my first hand intake on surah 3.. But as I am reading it again, different things are jumping out at me and making me - not re-evaluate - but expand on what I had thought earlier…

Like I have said before, I can only thank my creator for what he has given me and I do thank Him immensely.. Gw I can get my act together and focus as I should be focusing..
