7:69
AwaAAajibtum an jaakum thikrun min rabbikum AAala rajulin minkum liyunthirakum waothkuroo ith jaAAalakum khulafaa min baAAdi qawmi noohin wazadakum fee alkhalqi bastatan faothkuroo alaa Allahi laAAallakum tuflihoona
RK translation - Is it too much of a wonder that a message should come to you from your Lord, through a man like you, to warn you? Recall that He made you inheritors after the people of Noah, and multiplied your number. Remember GOD's blessings, that you may succeed."

the Phrase in question is highlighted in red "faothkuroo alaa Allahi or Fadhkuruu alaa Llahi( as i would write it)" which is translated as "remember Gods Blessings" in RK translation.
7:74
Waothkuroo ith jaAAalakum khulafaa min baAAdi AAadin wabawwaakum fee alardi tattakhithoona min suhoolihaqusooran watanhitoona aljibala buyootan faothkuroo alaa Allahi wala taAAthaw fee alardi mufsideena
RK translation - "Recall that He made you inheritors after `Ãd, and established you on earth, building mansions in its valleys, and carving homes from its mountains. You shall remember GOD's blessings, and do not roam the earth corruptingly."
so i don't understand because the translation for blessing is baraka?? with the root words Ba, Ra, Kaf.
anyways so i came across another verse 2:105
مَا يَوَدُّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَلَا الْمُشْرِكِينَ أَنْ يُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَاللَّهُ يَخْتَصُّ بِرَحْمَتِهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَاللَّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ
Ma yawaddu allatheena kafaroo min ahli alkitabi wala almushrikeena an yunazzala AAalaykum min khayrin min rabbikum waAllahu yakhtassu birahmatihi man yashao waAllahu thoo alfadli alAAatheemi
which RK translates as - Neither the disbelievers among the followers of the scripture, nor the idol worshipers, wish to see any blessings come down to you from your Lord. However, GOD showers His blessings upon whomever He chooses. GOD possesses infinite grace.
on looking at the arabic - the from phrase - "God showers his blessings upon whomever he chooses" the arabic reads waAllahu yakhtassu birahmatihi man yashao - God yakhtassu his mercy man yashao -
do you see what i am getting at.
For me - Ramatihi - is a derivative of mercy - so fitting translation for me may look like - God showers from his mercy to whom he wills. as opposed to using blessing when the arabic is rahmatihi - which in other verses is used as mercy not blessings..
on a side note - mercy is also a blessing of God.
for me i would just appreciate the non-confusion - and the non-mixing and matching to suit one's purpose.
Call a spade a spade - and don't be ambiguous - God is the one who will drive meaning into each and every of our hearts.
As God is the one who knows us all, the association and meaning we get from words will be different - we will all take to it different - God is in charge of that.
but truthfulness is being clear and being honest - in the pursuit of God - i will not accept anything less.
i will applaud and support what i find to be clear that i can recommend it.
but my feelings so far is that no one person can claim to have the correct translation of words and the part where in the Quran it says to examine all word rings more ever true and true..
at this minute i don't think it is an authorised translation -
authorised yes by the author who wrote the translation. this cannot be taken as Gospel as having the best translation in it - it makes a good read that is what it does - but GOOD READ is not truth and understanding. Good read is like fiction - which crumbles when you take a closer look and inspection of the material.
and to everyone else that is just taking a blind hand in translation of the material to other languages from the english translated - i guess are fooling themselves because - one can only translate from an original - not from a second hand.
english translation is secondhand - and to translate from secondhand - is foolish and foolhardy.
Flip side - maybe there is a link in all the missing words translated - if we can collate them do they read into a statement?
God is God will always be God and remain God - We should worship God alone and devote everything to God - i feel strongly about this - but in doing this let us advocate what is true and just in the message of God - if we choose to hide it/alter it it then to God is our reckoning.
PS if you manage to find this word "alaa llahi" can someone please let me know. i have tried searching the Quran but i didn't find any other word like it"
