Prose for thought - is is possible to trust in God aLONE

i saw ths article ages ago and it provoked some thinking in me -

Since the Coinage Act of 1864, our nation’s coins and currency have included the phrase “In God We Trust.”

Treasury Secretary Salmon Chase directed the U.S. Mint to insert the phrase and with this declaration, “No nation can be strong except in the strength of God, or safe except in His defense.”

In 1956, Congress passed a joint resolution which established this phrase from our national anthem which declared, “And this be our motto, In God is our trust” as our national theme.

Although there have been periods of strong debate and even litigation through the
supreme Court to remove this phrase, it remains as our national motto and a declaration of our
dependence on God.

As worshippers ( changed from the original article here), we know that God frequently calls his people to trust in him alone.

Proverbs challenges us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and not to lean on our own understanding.

God’s word challenges us to “not worry about anything” which, in our frantic and over-stressed world, seems to be strangely out of touch with reality.

Is it possible to trust in God completely, fully and without reservation even when surrounded by doubt and fear?

There is a word, “Bitachon,” in Hebrew that defines our trust in God as the confident assurance
that even in distress and trouble in this life, God does work for good.

It suggests that God’s people do not surrender or resort to anger but instead draw strength from this assurance. In the midst of the greatest disasters and troubles of this life, our God is always there with us and actively working to take us beyond trouble and to reveal his goodness.

In each moment of our lives, God desires to teach us how to trust him more. Doubt and fear weaken, but faith in God (please note that i changed to this from the original article) will strengthen us even when faced with the most difficult circumstances.

The strength of our trust is tested to increase faith, understanding and witness to God’s constant faithfulness in our daily lives. Whether a university, a church or an individual believer, our
trust in God does not come from a strong will, positive thinking or an inspiring motto on a coin.
Rather, our trust in God is the constant theme of our lives, the solid rock upon which we stand
and the basis for an inner faith that burns deeply in our hearts.

When we discover that God can be truly trusted with every aspect of our lives, we can abandon a “what if this or that comes” level of thinking and proclaim moment by moment and day by day that “no matter what may come,” our God is faithful and true.

Right now dearest Lord of mine - i am about clutching at air and grasping - I feel desolate and like i am wandering aimless in a vast desert.
I need strenght from thee and i need courage from thee.
Everything is changing, around me, i dont know where i belong, i feel i am slipping so i beg of thee to hold me firm and not let me fall.
I am loosing hope and all sorts, i need help and guidance from thee.
