What a wonderful word to explain my plight this morning..

zakat..one fifth??? working title

Surah 8:41..The arabic does not mention spoils.of war..so i ask again zakat is it not one fifth.. because the way it is sectioned in terms of where the money goes..is the same as 2:215..

Gw i am guided by the fact that i rely on God and his words in Quran..and other scriptures..if i am honest the 2.5% has never been clear to me how it is calculated..and it is the same veil i approach salat that i approach this.. not that i currently am consistent anyways with zakat but if i come to a conclusion that it is one fifth may God allow me to do the right thing consistently and continuously..

Thank you Lord everlasting..you have been so good to me.. thank you Lord everlasting i am grateful for my blessings. I am grateful for my struggle..the trials.and jubilations i have been through..i realise No one can lead like you do. Lord you habe been so good. You have been so good to me. I am grateful for all of my blessings. I am giving you all the praise.

funny how time flies

You know dear lord..life is interesting..not long ago i was saying..dear lord i need 2 weeks away from work..the hustle and bustle of going to work was wearing me down..i wanted to stop going..and now here i am on lockdown..

I also said..God i need to stop spending and save..here i am now again.

Your name be glorified and praised always..right now i say thank you for me and mine..

Help me to grow in righteous deeds and words. Help me to be better for mine..guide us all to thy worshipnand praise..your name be glorified always..

As a child i remember some dua my dad..and one of them used to be.."ya kam jahal fajashi"..something like that..i dont know how accurate it is but its something he used to say with his tasbir..

I don't even know if it is a dua..but i know the "ya" is like saying oh like u would say "ya rabbi"..so i ask myself now what is kam jahal..lololol.

Its like what i also remember..allahuma anta allahu..rabbu rahufu rahim..anta allahu arahman arahhim..anta allahu al hafeez al muizz al hayyu al qayumu..al qayim..alla kulli nafsi wa hawli bima kasabat...

Another one he drumed into us..rabanna akshif anal azaba innal muminin..

Another one was the laqad jakum rasulu min anfusikum..

Oh i remember my child hood..fraught it was these rare moments catching my dad in prayer with his yasin and waqiat playing in background..incense.. lolololol..

issue

The last week or so i have noticed how thoughts that are not resonating with my choice keep popping into my head..mostly to do with the name jesus and saying things i dont agree with associated with the name..but i acknowkedge it for what it is.. i have a lot of exposure to the name..a lot of the gospel songs i like mention the name..so it keeps polluting my thoughts..esp when in prayer..let me be clear..my Lord is God..the Most Gracious..there is no other.. i say it out loud so i acknowledge the issue and wont let it ransom me..

Great is thy mercy towards me..be thou glorified oh Lord

We glorify and praise the name of God..most Gracious..Sustainer and our Creator.. we thank Him for his care and mercy on us..for our safety and our provisions..we lift our voice in song to Him to praise his Good and Holy name.

I feel I am going thru a tough time now my Lord..it feels hard..it feels never ending..i need strenght focus and determination from thee. Let me prevail..let me raise and rise better and higher than before..it may be the fasting..it may not be but help me recover..give me renewed spirit..help me soar..let me not be disheartened dear lord..but lift my voice up in beautiful song to praise thee.. for all hope is in you..all praise is yours..all glory authority and kingship..now and forever be thou glorified my lord

Who are the jinns...i read they were created of fire..but who are they..what do they look like..do they take human form? In surah 46 a verse says they were "directed to you to hear about.the quran"...who sees them..
